.....a good friend of mine, the late Ahmad Ramli Zakaria, an ardent bike enthusiast, asked me a decade ago, '' How come Doc, you say our children and wives can be a fitnah to us ! ? "

" I dont say that Li, Allah said so....just look at most of our top politicians, cabinet ministers and pm's, past and almost,even present......they have pillaged, and hoarded the nations wealth for themselves and families, some even beyond three generations 'makan pun tak habis', if not reminded properly by the raaayat at the polls or on  social media..........salah haribulan , these very same wives and children may even burden them in their alam  barzark and the hereafter, for not giving them prior proper religious guidance and 'education'....Depa ingat jadi father ni senang...not accountable for their offsprings and wives wrongdoings...."

[ bini celupar mulut,tak solat, suami yang kena; anak perempuan pakai tak senonoh,ayah yang kena; anak isteri guna harta sang ayah untuk perkara2 non syariah compliant pun, semasa sang ayah dan suami masih hidup atau mati pun, dia kena jugak.....no joke jadi ayah dan sang suami............Sang bapa nya redah hidup, cari makan, tak kira riba, halal haram, korupsi dan harta negara, tak kira, semua dia bedal, demi perceived kesejahteraan  isteri dan anak2........ini yang dinamakan  fitnah, selain dari yang dikupas olih hamka ]

..a life with the belief in the unseen; a life cognizant of a series of prophets carrying the same baton, the Oneness of God....and finally a life accepting the inevitability of a final Day of Judgement when accountability is paramount.

Just look at the cohorts of leaders we collectively put upfront to run us for decades.

One wonders what goes on under their kopiah.....

That was 10 years on, when I initially , mentally, on statstical basis, dilated congestive heart failure like his , with an LV ejection of just 20 %, I gave him only, 12 months at best, way back in 2001..

People,  honest and uncomplaining like Eddy Warman, keeps me still practising......basic people with good hearts and souls. It warms my soul to be in contact and able to do my bit for such people...

There is value added meaning to my own existence.

PS :

Eddy is no longer under my follow up  about 10 years. His 3 daughters are all 'pakar' in specialties of their choice. Enche Hairuddin, a family friend just rang me to tell, Eddy is still going strong and still driving his lorry.

That  to me is a world record of sort. A chap with 20 % LVEF, going on for over 20 years now.

Mashaallah..

" Guys, you can be sufi, mufti, centrist, leftist or rightist in the ugama. Even a Wahabbi. No problem.

You guys still are within the broad spectrum of the ugama. You can choose to be broad-minded or go through life wearing blinkers forever. No issue as long as you guys peg your position with ilm, ilm, ilm & ilm.

But please avoid  at all costbeing a ' liberal islamist ', because 'kalau salah haribulan' if you join the group that thinks, " no big deal semua ugama sama ", during nabi's time, he  avoided praying at their funerals  and advised his sahabats not to as well.

There is no ' animal '  during Nabi's time calling themselves ' liberal islamists '.

People labelled them as al mounafiqes, that time & Allah is very definitive about His feeling for this group of ' animals ': They all are firewood for hell.

No political correctness then...Political Correctness is a present day American disease!

I went into 'verbal diarhoe' mode, but alas, as usual, in our political landscape, as happening in decades past, and sadly, decades in the future, no one ever took notice the voices of the masses.

" Cari Makan " remained the order of the day.

That is Malaysia Boleh for you and me!

Let Us Re-Examine Our Shahadah....
